For General Students

  • General Eligibility: Candidates must fulfil a few requirements for them to apply for NEET PG 2025. They must possess an MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate that has been authorized and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC). 
  • Age Limit: Candidates who are eligible for the NEET PG Exam should know that they have no age limit to appear for the medical Entrance Examinations. 
  • Attempt Limit: As per the National Board of Examination (NBE), candidates can appear for the examination as many times as they want. There is no attempt limit for NEET PG Candidates. 
  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates may apply for NEET PG 2025 if they have an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate approved by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, which has been repealed, or the NMC Act, 2019. A permanent or in-between MBBS registration certificate from the State Medical Council, the NMC or the previous MCI is also required. Additionally, by March 31, 2024, candidates should have finished their internship or be on target to do it.
  • Internship: Candidates can apply for NEET PG 2025 if they finish their one-year required rotatory internship by July 31, 2025. Those who do not complete their internship by this deadline, however, will not be eligible to take the test.
  • Registration Dates: According to the NBE’s official website, The candidates must provide documentation of their registration with the NMC, the earlier Medical Council of India, or the State Medical Council on the day of the exam and during counseling/admission.

For Foreign Graduates

  • Nationality: The medical entrance exam is open to candidates who are Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
  • FMGE Pass Certificate: According to the screening test regulations, 2022, Indian residents or Indian citizens living abroad who finished their undergraduate medical education at medical colleges outside of India must be qualified to take the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (screening test). The candidate should also have completed their internship by March 31st, 2025, or be on pace to do so, and be registered with the State Medical Council, the NMC or the erstwhile Medical Council of India.
  • Internship: If candidates complete their minimum one-year rotational internship by July 31, 2025 they are eligible to register for NEET PG 2025.

For Foreign Nationals

When applying for the NEET PG exam, foreign nationals need to fulfill certain requirements:

  1. Medical Qualification: Must have a National Medical Commission (NMC)-recognized basic medical qualification equal as an MBBS.
  2. Security Clearance: Obtain security clearance from the Indian government Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and include it with your NEET PG application.
  3. Registration in Home Country: They need to be registered with the right home country medical authority.
  4. MCI Registration: An MCI registration certificate is required to apply for NEET PG. In order to obtain temporary registration with MCI which is only good for the duration of the course, they must pay a charge if they are chosen for a seat.
